How Can I Compose English Articles Being a Non-Native Speaker
To decide on the best words is an endless fight
I struggle at all times to put pen to paper in a language I didn’t grow up with. Once in a while, my writing sounds unnatural, baffling, and ludicrous to native speakers.
A myriad of aspiring writers prefers to compose their articles in English to approach a broader set of readers. I choose to pen down my thoughts in English plainly because it’s a beautiful language.
Language is the voice of culture.
Being native in a language divergent from English restricts you in some way to perceiving the natives’ mindset. In my case, applying blindly word-for-word translations in hope that native readers will be able to grasp the ideas hurts my writing entirely.
Writing consists of conceiving, composing, and combining the words to form an accessible and comprehensible piece of work.
Being a non-native speaker who hasn’t lived in any English-speaking country, here are my favorite tips and tools to put together a well-written article.
